Cataract surgery is a very common surgical procedure in ophthalmology and Spain is a reference in this type of surgery. Nowadays, most people suffering from cataracts can undergo a surgical procedure consisting in the extraction of the affected crystalline lens and the replacement by an intraocular lens. Thanks to the latest developments, it is possible to correct refractive errors to a large extent during the same intervention.
