UWF angiography

What is the Ultra Widefield Angiography module?

Ultra-Widefield Angiography module (UWF) provides undistorted images with high contrast and homogeneous lighting, even in distant periphery. The lens easily accommodates to SPECTRALIS or HRA2 of any age and is compatible with existent lenses. The fact of working contactless makes it easier to obtain peripheral images for the patient and for the operator.

This easy-to-use module broadens the multimodal functionality of SPECTRALIS platform providing much more than a cost-effective alternative to specific devices for wide field imaging.

How does it work?

The ultra widefield of angiography module consists of a specific lens and software. The lens easily adapts to the camera head. Non-contact ultra-wide field lens produces convenient peripheral images for the patient and the operator.

  • Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope (cSLO) technology and high quality refraction optics provide high contrast distant peripheral images with no distortions and evenly lighted.
  • High speed ultra-widefield video angiography can be performed with fluorescein and indocianine green either individually or simultaneously.
  • Ultra-widefield module increases the range of uses and applications for current Heidelberg Engineering cSLO devices, improving clinic sessions and patient workflow.
  • The new Heidelberg module is a cost-effective alternative to wide-field images generation devices, non-contact lenses and ultra-wide-field devices which provides appropriate peripheral images for the patient and operator.
