The 51st Congress of the Societat Catalana d’Oftalmologia (SCOFT) was held last November, with the participation of Dr. José Manuel Navero and Dr. Xavier Maseras, members of the Glaucoma Department and the Retina and Vitreous Department of ICR.
A team from Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE) visited the ICR center to carry out a report on the ocular pathologies derived from the increase in the use of screens. Dr. Ignasi Jürgens and the optometrist Hanan Haulani also participated and were interviewed.
Dr. Juan Francisco Santamaria, member of the ICR’s Department of Retina and Vitreous has published, together with Dr. Ignasi Jürgens, Medical Director of the Institut Català de Retina, the article titled Vitreous hemorrhage due to optic disc macroaneurysm, which describes the clinical case of a patient with a spontaneous vitreous hemorrhage without apparent reason.
