Dr. Agnieszka Dyrda, member of the Retina & Vitreous and Cataract departments of ICR, was awarded the EURETINA Observership Grant by the European Society of Retina Specialists. This allowed her to spend one month at the Retina Department of the prestigious St. Thomas hospital in London. This scholarship, which is awarded through a strict selection process, annually rewards members of this Society who are working in a specialized retina unit or in a university hospital.
During her stay at St. Thomas Hospital in London, Dr. Dyrda actively participated in clinical consultations visiting patients with medical and surgical retinal pathology, as well as in complex vitreoretinal surgeries. As the doctor explains, the knowledge and experience acquired during the duration of this stay have been very enriching and will allow her to apply them in her daily clinical activity in our centre.
